This September, PQShield sponsored the second edition of the Oxford Post-Quantum Cryptography Summit alongside the National Cyber Security Centre, which took place 4th-7th September at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, where PQShield founder Dr. Ali El Kaafarani is a research fellow.
The event bought together top researchers and practitioners in the field of post-quantum cryptography from academia, industry, and different standardisation bodies to deliver rapid feedback on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s recently announced draft post-quantum cryptography standards.
We hear from the team and their views on the exciting and long awaited publication of these standards.
Hear more from our CEO Dr Ali Kaafarani and other members of the team as they give their views on why NIST is still looking at more digital signature schemes, despite the recent standards being published.
The team discuss where they feel the industry are when it comes to the migration to PQC, and why it is not as overwhelming as you may think.
Post-quantum cryptography is a complex mathematical field. It gets our team excited, but we realise there’s a lot to digest. Understanding the basic issues is a vital first step towards a quantum-secure future – but if you want to know more, our team is available to provide more detailed advice, tailored to your specific business needs.
